KBRS Kicks Off the Education Foundation Donation

THE HILTON HEAD AREA HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES EDUCATION FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE PROGRAM FOR SUPPORTERS

KBRS, Inc. is First Company to Receive Recognition Certificate with $500 Donation –
Hilton Head Island, November 2020 – The Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association has launched a new initiative to recognize and encourage supporters of its Hilton Head Area Home Builders Education Foundation scholarship program. The new program will enable supporters of the Education Foundation who donate $100 to receive a special framed certificate suitable for hanging in their offices to highlight support of the program, as well as a badge to include on marketing materials to showcase their role helping the Education Foundation help local high school seniors. Participants in this new program who show their support through a donation will also be recognized on Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association social media pages.

The first participant in this new Education Foundation scholarship support certificate program is KBRS, the Hardeeville-based manufacturer of custom waterproof tile shower bases, slopes, seats, niches and accessories, which has donated $500 to the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Education Foundation. The donation will go towards the Foundation’s scholarship program presented to local graduating high school seniors in Beaufort, Jasper or Hampton Counties planning to attend a 4 or 2-year accredited trade/tech school, college or university.

The KBRS donation marks the first certificate given as part of the program, with an effort underway to encourage additional Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association members and non-members alike to donate to the Education Foundation program in order to receive the certificate and/or badge to show their support. KBRS, a member of the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association, manufactures products that are specifically engineered to protect buildings from internal and external moisture damage caused by faulty system design and installer error. All shower system products are easy-to-install, reduce installed costs and increase the quality of moisture protection for the life of the building.

The Hilton Head Home Builders Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization administered by the Hilton Head Area HBA, an association of business professionals that represent, promote and support excellence in the home building industry through education, community service and environmental stewardship. The Foundation was formed to support and raise funds for continuing education throughout Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton Counties, and has been awarding scholarships to local graduating seniors for more than 30 years. As a result of successful fundraising and monetary contributions from HBA members as well as others within the community, the Foundation has continued to surpass its annual goals and increase the number of scholarships each year. This past May 2020, the Foundation managed to still raise $40,000 and awarded 16 $2,500 scholarships based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership, financial need, and commitment to community.

“We are so pleased to have received this generous donation from KBRS for our Education Foundation, and look forward to working with other HBA members and non-members who would like to be part of this program and receive recognition for their role in helping local students in our area,” says Meg James, Executive Officer of the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association. “Our HBA members and the community have always played such a vital role in helping our Education Foundation, and this certificate program is a great way for us to further recognize them for their important support.”
