Espy Lumber offers a wide range of mill-work services ranging from doors, windows, trims, stairs, siding, roofing, decking, and even marine supplies. They are proud of their long legacy of honesty, integrity, and pride in the work they do.

The relationships we have built with our customers, vendors and partners is second to none in the industry.

Espy Lumber Company has been providing quality building materials to the Lowcountry since 1958. This is the year Wesley Espy founded the company and began doing business on Hilton Head after the first bridge was built linking the island to the mainland. Initially, its primary business was to furnish concrete to the emerging resort developers.

Today, Espy Lumber is still the only full line building supply on Hilton Head Island.

Roofing

One of your homes most important investments is your roof. Your roof protects your personal property, while adding curb appeal. There are many new innovative roofing options that are available through Espy Lumber. Whether it is a laminated asphalt shingles, metal, or a designer series asphalt shingle we will make sure the customers’ needs are met. Real Slate, Clay Tile, and Synthetic Roofs are also available for the homeowner looking for that unique style. Whether it is a re-roof or new construction, we will make sure that you are proud of your new roof when the job is complete.

Siding

Cypress has been a long time favorite of builders in the low country. The ability of the species to resist rot, termites, and fungus make it a great choice in our humid sub-tropic climate. We stock 1” square edge rough sawn #2 grade, and smooth select grade planks in widths from 4” to 12”, and in lengths from 8’ to 16’. We also carry pattern 139, beveled, and tight joint/ shiplap siding profiles. We also offer a tongue and groove ceiling planks and two exterior crown profiles.

We are also proud to offer Shakertown cedar panels. They are made from real western red cedar allowing them to withstand the effects of rain, sun, and pests for many years. Since they come in panel form you will get the natural beauty of individual cedar shingles with a quicker install time.

James Hardie has become one of the most recognized names in the building industry. Their H10z exterior cement fiber products are specifically designed to resist rot in our humid coastal climate, while also offering protection from insects and fire.

James Hardie lap siding comes in a wide variety of profiles to match any style home. They also offer Hardie shingle siding for the warm authentic look of cypress shingles. Both products come with a 30 yr manufacturer’s warranty.

The wide variety of Hardie trim and Hardie soffit products will allow you to put the finishing touches to your home, and design the custom look you desire.

All James Hardie exterior products are available with the Color Plus option. These products come pre-finished in a variety of colors. This will save you the time and cost of painting. Color Plus products come with a 15 yr manufactures warranty.
